Fuvahmulah City Council

The Fuvahmulah' City Council is an independent and autonomous body that derives its legal authority from the Decentralisation Act (Law no. 7/2010) of the Maldives. Empowered to own property and to incur liabilities, the Council has devolved powers of self-governance and decision making, as well as financial autonomy. The council is responsible to plan and develop the city and ensure that the services required by the Decentralization Act are provided to the citizens of the Atoll.

Permit to Conduct Events and Activities in Public Places
This service can be used to obtain a permit to conduct events and activities in public places.
Approval of land name
This service can be used to register a name for a property or building. The proposed name shouldn't contradict with Maldivian religion or culture.
Item Donation Approval
This service can be used to apply for approval for individuals or organizations to donate items to mosques.
Garage Permit for Vehicles
This service can be used to register four-wheeled and three-wheeled vehicles. (ގަރާޖު ހުއްދަ)
Permit to Enter Fuvamulah Harbour
This service can be used to request for a permit to enter Fuvahmulah Harbour. Vessels can only approach the harbor with an approval from the harbor officials. Vessels should leave the harbor once the purpose of entry is completed and before expiration of the permit or if requested by harbor officials due to an emergency.
Permit to Conduct Religious Teachings
This service can be used to request for a permit to give religious lectures, offer religious teachings and to teach books related to religion in mosques.
Permit to Conduct Absentee Funeral Prayers
This service can be used to obtain permission to perform Islamically compliant absentee funeral services. Funeral prayers can be offered for those who passed away while traveling abroad.
Ownership change to private land
This service can be used for transferring state-owned land's ownership to a citizen.
